Overview
The Cardio4Cities simulator is a data-driven platform designed to help city stakeholders reduce cardiovascular risks through targeted interventions.
My mission
Transform a complex, underutilized simulator into an intuitive, decision-making tool that enables policymakers to confidently act on data.
Problem statement
The existing dashboard lacked clarity and usability, with fragmented flows, a text-heavy interface, inconsistent design, and missing data context such as units and definitions. These issues reduced trust and made it difficult for non-technical stakeholders to quickly understand insights and make informed decisions.
Users Impact
Users could not confidently interpret results or complete simulations, limiting real-world adoption.

Discovery Phase
Audited the existing user journey, workflows, and interaction gaps.
Conducted user interviews to uncover pain points and decision needs.
Benchmarked competitors to identify UX and data-visualization opportunities.
Defining the Experience
Defined user journey, personas, and new flow.
Prioritized MVP features based on user value and business impact.
Design
Created concept design to validate layout and hierarchy.
Led a collaborative whiteboard session to drive ideation.
Delivered high-fidelity MVP screens with clear visual storytelling.
Iterated designs aligning with Power BI constraints and data clarity.
Impact
Improved usability and clarity for non-technical stakeholders
Reduced cognitive load through structured information and visual hierarchy
Increased stakeholder confidence in data interpretation
Enabled more efficient identification of intervention opportunities
